Itinerary from the Trevi Fountain to Piazza di Spagna

This itinerary takes us to Piazza di Spagna, one of the most iconic spots in the world, a symbol of Roman luxury and elegance. To reach it, we can choose the most direct route or opt for a slightly longer route that passes through Piazza Barberini and Trinità dei Monti.

Choosing the second option, we first cross Piazza Barberini, where we can admire the Triton Fountain, a masterpiece created by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1643. The square also marks the beginning of Via Veneto, the famous emblem of the "Dolce Vita" of the 1950s and 1960s. With a short detour along this street, it is possible to visit the Crypt of the Capuchin Friars: a unique and evocative place where, halfway through, In the 18th century, the bones of approximately 4,000 friars were used to decorate five chapels with complex ornamental motifs.

Resuming our itinerary from Piazza Barberini, we walk along Via Sistina until we reach Piazza della Trinità dei Monti. From the top of the famous steps, you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the Piazza di Spagna and the rooftops of Rome, with the dome of St. Peter's looming on the horizon. From here, you can choose to walk down to the square or continue your stroll along Viale della Trinità dei Monti towards the Pincio, one of the most popular spots for admiring the sunset over the city.
