Itinerary from Piazza Navona to Piazza del Popolo (passing by the Pantheon)

This itinerary crosses the historic center of Rome, from Piazza Navona to Piazza del Popolo.

The first stop is the Pantheon, one of the most iconic and best-preserved monuments of antiquity. Considered an absolute masterpiece of Roman engineering, it still amazes today with its majestic dome, the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world. A few steps away is the Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, a rare example of Gothic architecture in the capital. In the square of the same name in front, you can admire the Pantheon. Admire the famous "Pulcin della Minerva," the graceful elephant sculpted to a design by Bernini that supports one of the city's Egyptian obelisks.

Continuing the itinerary, you pass Palazzo Montecitorio, home of the Chamber of Deputies since 1871. A few steps separate the palace from Piazza Colonna, dominated by the Column of Marcus Aurelius: a triumphal monument almost 42 meters high, erected between 176 and 192 AD to commemorate the emperor's victories over the Germanic peoples.

Piazza Colonna directly overlooks Via del Corso, Rome's main historical artery. This straight street, approximately 1.6 kilometers long (equal to a Roman mile), is today the heart of the city's shopping district and is lined with majestic noble palaces. Directly opposite the square is the Galleria Alberto Sordi, an elegant shopping arcade and a true jewel of Art Nouveau style.

The tour finally concludes in the monumental and elegant Piazza del Popolo, overlooked by the ancient Basilica of Santa Maria del Popolo, rich in artistic treasures.
