Itinerary from Piazza Venezia to Piazza Navona (passing through Campo de' Fiori)
This itinerary leads from Piazza Venezia to Campo de' Fiori, one of Rome's most unique and beloved squares.
Along the way, we stop to admire one of Rome's most important archaeological sites, the Sacred Area of Largo di Torre Argentina. The archaeological area is famous for housing four Roman temples from the Republican era and for being the site where Julius Caesar was assassinated.
We continue to Campo de' Fiori, one of Rome's liveliest and most characteristic squares, always crowded both during the day for its open-air market and at night thanks to the numerous bars, wine bars, and restaurants that surround it.
The last stop on this itinerary is Piazza Navona, an open-air baroque salon, one of Rome's most famous and scenic squares. The square is dominated by three spectacular fountains: the Fountain of the Four Rivers, a masterpiece by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the Fountain of the Moor, and the Fountain of Neptune. Opposite Bernini's fountain stands the monumental Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, designed by Francesco Borromini.
